PrintIT! Scotland winners announced

The competition was judged by Mark Burns and Stephen Mather of City of Glasgow College, and Janette McAllister of Montgomery Litho Group, and the winners for the PrintIT! Scotland competition across the five categories are as follows:

Best Wall Poster – Abi Wort, Inverness Royal Academy
Best Graph and Chart – Ben Whiting, Kinross High School
Best Table Talker – Ben Whiting, Kinross High School
Best Use of Fair-trade Brand – Aiden Kwok, Gracemount High School, Edinburgh
Best Design Process – Jessica Randaldi, Kinross High School

This year the overall winner of PrintIT! Scotland 2010/11, selected by the panel of experts has been awarded to Ben Whiting of Kinross High School.

“Inverness Royal Academy is very proud of their pupils. This excellent competition is a definite motivation for the pupils with the work that they are producing, and I am sure that this will open doors for their future careers. Proskills deliver the competition in an exciting, challenging and rewarding way.” Said Adrian Duthie, CDT Department at Inverness Royal Academy.

The winners received a range of print-related prizes for both themselves and their schools, which were donated by supporters from the print and paper industry included Pantone essentials kits, Renz Binders, QuarkXPress licenses, Fuji FinePix Cameras, Xaar Microscope, printers and paper, which will help teachers engage their students in the major challenges facing the print industry and demonstrate the scope it offers for individual creativity.
